Those of you who know me well know I am NOT a morning person. BUT, I have turned over a new leaf and I now walk several mornings a week before work. How much have I walked this week?

  • 2/13-2/19: About 11 miles so far (3 trips to Old Town & back, 5 miles on Mount Vernon Trail)
  • 2/20-2/26: About 16 miles (3 trips to Old Town and back, 10 miles to Georgetown and Foggy Bottom -- lugging my computer, I might add, so I could do research for one of the classes in the GWU and Georgetown Libraries!)
  • 2/26-3/4: About 16 miles (OK, not any more than last week, but I had a HARD week-- a paper due, stuff to grade. . . .). I only managed to walk once during the week (2 miles), but I walked 14 miles on Saturday.
  • 3/5-3/11: Off to a good start so far! I walked 10 miles today with Cindy. I'd like to find time for at least another 10.
  • 3/12-3/18: This week I was in Seattle and Vancouver at a conference and visiting friends. And it was rainy!!! So, I probably walked about 18 miles that week-- not as much as I would have liked, but not too bad.
  • 3/19-3/25: Oh, no! Jetlag did me in. I didn't walk too much this week because, well, I couldn't get out of bed! 7 miles.
  • 3/26-4/1: OK. I need to get back on track. I walked after work with Cindy and once to Old Town and back, plus around Cindy's neighborhood. 10 miles.
  • 4/2-4/8: The weather and work have cut down on my walking. I plan to do 5 Friday, 10 Saturday, and 10 more on Sunday.

Oops! I haven't updated this much recently. Sorry. I actually haven't been walking as much as I should-- April showers. Wish me luck this weekend!!
