On May 5-7, 2000, I walked 60 miles from Frederick, MD. to Washington, DC, sleeping in tents, hoping for good weather. Why? To raise money for and awareness about Breast Cancer-- the second leading cause of cancer death for all women, and the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 40 and 55.
